Holy Spirit Window
This beautiful stained glass window takes its theme from the famous Holy Spirit int St. Peter's Basilica. The Holy Spirit window by the Italian artist Bernini, was completed in 1633 and overlooks St. Peter's chair on the main altar of the Basilica at St. Peter's . The Holy Spirit, depicted symbolically as a white dove, hovers over the people of St. Joseph 's from above the narthex of our church. As sunlight streams through the crystal glass of the Holy Spirit window, He radiates His light and peace on those present.
This window is of heavy lead crystal, in faceted stained glass. Designed by Chicago artist Roger Hornsby, it was made in a small family stained glass studio in Wisconsin .
